Pool lighting should be chosen as part of the complete pool and electrical design. Start with equipment compatible with the proposed shell and installation, then compare appearance, controls and maintenance. This guide replaces our earlier 2021/2022 product list with a checklist for a current specification.
Ask for the exact lighting included in the EVi package you are considering. Confirm the number and position of lights, available colours or modes, controls and any optional upgrades. The EVi configurator helps you explore the package; the quotation should confirm the final equipment.
A product marketed as a pool light or replacement bulb is not automatically suitable for every fitting. Have the supplier confirm compatibility with the shell, fitting, power supply and controls. Use the exact product’s current installation instructions and warranty terms, rather than relying on a generic online listing.
Have an appropriately qualified electrician assess and carry out the electrical work for the pool and surrounding area in accordance with current requirements and the equipment instructions. Discuss cable routes, controls, maintenance access and the proposed lighting locations before the construction work is finalised. This buying guide does not provide wiring or installation instructions.
Consider the view from the house, visibility around steps and access, and how the pool and surrounding garden will be used after dark. Ask to see the proposed colour and control options. Decorative or floating lights should not be treated as a substitute for the lighting and safety arrangements specified for the installation.
Check how the fitting is accessed, which parts are replaceable and who provides support. Compare the specified power consumption, expected usage, replacement parts and warranty. Avoid assuming every LED product offers the same brightness, lifespan or running cost.
Compare the EVi pool models and contact EVi to confirm the lighting and equipment available for your chosen package. Record supply, connection and installation responsibilities in the quotation.
