Choosing an inground pool involves more than fitting a rectangle into a garden. The model, surrounding space, access, installation and ownership budget all need to work together. Start with how you want to use the pool, then test the options against your property.
Consider relaxation, exercise and time with family, together with who will use the pool. Compare the EVi 6, EVi 8 and EVi X using their current drawings and specifications. Check the usable swimming space, steps, seating and available equipment, as well as the overall shell dimensions.
A one-piece shell has a defined design. Do not assume that its length, shape or depth can be changed to fit a particular plot. Ask EVi which available model and options suit your requirements.
Plan space for the pool surround, equipment, maintenance access and movement around the garden. Delivery and lifting access also need assessment. Underground services, ground conditions, drainage and nearby structures may affect the design and cost. A larger garden does not remove the need for a site-specific installation plan.
Follow the selected pool’s intended use and the manufacturer’s safety instructions. Never assume a pool is suitable for diving simply because it is deeper. Diving requires a pool specifically designed and approved for that use, with appropriate professional assessment; do not dive into a pool that is not designated for it.
RLSS UK’s guidance on diving considers clearance and risk assessment as well as depth. Its training guidance is not a substitute for approval of a private pool design. Supervision and safe access remain important whatever size or depth you choose.
Compare quotations for the same scope. Ask for the pool package, options, delivery and lifting, excavation and spoil removal, base and installation work, service connections, surround and landscaping to be clearly identified. Confirm who is responsible for each stage and what allowances depend on the site assessment.
Include heating, water treatment, servicing and other ownership costs in your decision. A smaller shell is not automatically the cheapest completed project: access and site work can materially change the quotation.
